MRS. STAMM

Sandra Ross Stamm, 75, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 in Augusta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Stamm, who died on May 16, 2022.

 

She was born on November 4, 1950 in Augusta to her parents, the late Roy and Blanche (née Waits) McElfresh. Prior to retirement, she served a great number of our country’s heroes, having worked for nineteen years as a Nurse’s Aide for the Veterans’ Home in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. She was a member of the Augusta Presbyterian Church.

 

Surviving her are son, John Steele, III, and her daughter, Tina McNamara; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe McElfresh; her sisters, Ruth Preston and Rosemary Browning; and her grandson, Dylan McNamara.

 

The funeral for Sandra will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.

 

Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Bladeston, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
