Robert A. White, 81, a lifelong resident of Bracken County, Kentucky, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Thelma Jean White.
Bob was born in Bracken County on April 2, 1940 to his parents, the late James Robert and Margaret (nee Ring) White. He was retired from the Precision Industrial Company of Oakley, Ohio and was an avid fisherman and farmer. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Brooksville.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind two sons, James White and William White; four brothers, David White (Debbie), Lee White, Dennis White (Ruth), and Ricky White (Angie); and three sisters, Margaret “Peggy” White Hopkins (Robert), Donna White McDowell, and Mary Jo Hass. Survivors also include three grandchildren, Paige White, Alexis White, and Nicholas White; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin White Hines; a brother, William Edward White; a sister, Ruth Janice White; a nephew, Charles White; and two brothers-in-law, Gerry McDowell and Larry Hass.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM by Reverend Joseph Shelton at the St. James Church in Brooksville.
Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Brooksville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.
