MR. FRYMAN
Norman A. Fryman, 87, of Wellsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Martha Annette (née Perkins) Fryman, who died on August 22, 2005.
Norman was born in Bracken County, Kentucky on December 25, 1938, to his parents, the late Willard and Christine (née Rice) Fryman.
Outside of his work as a heavy equipment operator in construction, he previously served his country in the United States Army. He was a Master Mason and a 50-year member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was also a 50-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 and a member of the Pendleton County Sportsman Club. He loved to fish and hunt, but he also cherished spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his son, Rodney Fryman (Charolette) and his daughter, Donna Welte (Tony); his grandchildren, Ashley Welte, Rebecca Cobb (Jacob), Cassie Botkin (Cameron), Hannah Welte, and Carter Fryman; and his great-grandchildren, Connor Botkin, Cason Botkin, and Clara Botkin.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Freida Fryman and his grandson, Nathaniel Fryman.
The funeral will be at the convenience of the family and there will be no visitation.
His final resting place will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bracken County, Kentucky.
