MRS. ASHCRAFT

Francis Marlene Ashcraft, 68, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the Norton’s Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 44 years, Gary Ashcraft.

 

She was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on March 7, 1953 to her parents, the late John S. and Thelma (nee Cooper) Rickett. She was a homemaker and member of the Augusta Baptist Church and the MWU, also at the church.

 

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Amanda Hope Pike (Allen); her stepson Gary Wayne Ashcraft (Elaine); three sisters, Shirley Grey (H.E.), Carol King (Don), and Norene Harris (Rick); and her grandson, Logan Ray Tucker. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; her brother-in-law, Mark Kiskaden (Jill), and two sisters-in-law, Lanie Kiskaden and Regina Perkins.

 

She was preceded in death by her brother Tony Rickett and her sister, Debbie Rickett.

 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Augusta Baptist Church, with visitation beforehand from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the church. Pastor Tony Bishop will officiate.

 

At the request of the family, all planning to attend are asked to wear a mask or facial covering.

 

Memorials, if desired, are suggested to the Augusta Baptist Church, 300 East 4th Street, Augusta, Kentucky 41002.
