MRS. LIPPERT

Lola June (neé Thomas) Lippert, age 86, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on October 25, 2023 with her children by her bedside. She is the daughter of the late Stanley and Doris (neé McClanahan) Thomas and attended the Augusta Christian Church where she enjoyed fellowship with her Christian friends.

 

June was born in Augusta on November 3, 1936 and was a lifelong farmer, retired dietician and cook at the former Bracken Center, and Kentucky Colonel. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her garden and her flowers. She fully enjoyed her church family and Senior Citizens Group.

 

She is survived by her children, Scotty Lippert (Cheryl), Wendell Lippert (Susan), Paula Perkins, Dixie Stull, and Allen Lippert (Barbara). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, Retha Pospisil (Marvin), Marilyn Smith (Tony), Phyllis Holleran (Danny), Lynn Thomas (Lisa), Benny Thomas (Jana), and Barry Thomas (Talia).

 

Mrs. Lippert is preceded in death by her late husband, Scott Lewis Lippert; her sister, Carol Byrd; brother, Kenny Thomas; an infant brother, Howard Thomas; sister-in-law, Rosemary Thomas; her grandson, Robert Perkins; her nephews, Larry Reeves and Daryl Tucker, and her late son-in-law, Jackie Perkins.

 

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Lippert requested donations to the Augusta Christian Church, c/o Church Treasurer, 321 West Riverside Drive, Augusta, Kentucky, 41002 or to the Bracken County Senior and Community Services Center, P.O. Box 264, Brooksville, Kentucky, 41004.

 

Funeral services will be on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Augusta Christian Church.

 

Interment will follow in the Sharon Cemetery, Bracken County, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will also be on Monday at the church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
