MR. TURNER

Josiah (Joe) J. Turner, Jr., 91, of Milford, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Chesterwood Village, West Chester, Ohio. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Faye (nee Tackett) Turner.

 

He was born in Augusta, Kentucky on March 26, 1932 to his parents, the late Josiah J. and Mary Lorene (nee Winter) Turner. Prior to retirement, he worked as an accountant for the Ford Motor Company. He was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Air Force, and was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Salyersville, Kentucky.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jim Turner (Lisa); his daughter, Debbie Taimourzadeh (Ron); and his sister, Betty Jean Stephens. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Heidi, Kenny, Andy, Sarah, Matthew, Allison, Daniel, Amy, and Emily; sixteen great-grandchildren; his son-in-law, Mike Brown; and his sister-in-law, Flo Turner.

 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joni Turner Brown; his brother, Pat Turner; and his brother-in-law, Bill Stephens.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Augustine Church in Augusta, Kentucky by Rev. Joseph Shelton.

 

Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.

 

Visitation will also be on Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.

 

Memorials are suggested to the St. Augustine Cemetery, 203 E. 4th Street, Augusta, KY 41002.
