MRS. RIGGS

Ida Riggs, 83, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Bracken County Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Augusta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Riggs.

 

Ida was born October 10, 1937 in Kentucky to her parents, the late William and Hazel (nee Gifford) Bishop. She was a homemaker.

 

She leaves behind her son, Freddy Riggs of Augusta.

 

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.

 

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bracken County, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, also on Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

All who will be in attendance are asked to wear a facial covering and maintain social distance in accordance with COVID-19 safety protocols.

 

Memorials, if desired, are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
