MR. RICHEY

Gaven James Richey, 21, of Bracken County, Kentucky, passed away on April 11, 2024.

​

He was born on February 25, 2003 in Maysville, Kentucky. Gaven was employed by the TMC Transportation in Silver Grove as a warehouse worker. He graduated from Augusta High School in 2021 and was also a graduate of the Mason County Magnet School as a certified electrician. In his free time, he enjoyed playing games, going shooting, and fishing.

 

Gaven leaves behind his parents, James K. Richey, II (Jeanie Lane) and Ashley J. Blevins (Jeremy Waddell); his brothers, Gabriel Richey, Ryker Mofford, and Allston Richey; his grandparents, John & Donna Wilson, Junior & Jamie Blevins, and Joe & Tina Adkins; his great-grandparents, David Jefferson (Clara), Brenda Jefferson, Anna White, and Alberta Wilson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, James Kent Richey, James McCane, Charles Wilson, and Arnie & Elizabeth Blevins.

 

The funeral for Gaven will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta, Kentucky with Bro. Rick Jones officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Sunshine Cemetery in Bracken County, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

Respecting Gaven’s wishes, the family asks that anyone attending the visitation or funeral would wear casual clothing.

 

Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
