MRS. ERNEST

Mrs. Frances Corlis (nee Perkins) Ernest, 94 of Augusta, Kentucky, died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Ernest, who died August 16, 1985.

 

Frances was born in Bracken County on May 19, 1926, to her parents, the late Carlie and Nellie (nee Welch) Perkins. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Augusta VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

 

She leaves behind her son, Larry Ernest (Rhonda Campbell) of Augusta; two daughters, Susan Woods and Debbie Bishop (Gary), both of Augusta; four grandchildren, Joseph Ernest (Sherrie), Carla Cooper (Justin), Megan Littleton (Dalton Mains), and Michelle Littleton; and three step-grandchildren, Lee Bishop, Logan Bishop, and Landon Bishop. Survivors also include five great-grandchildren, Dylan Ernest, Shilah Ernest, Colin Ernest, Arteona Ernest, and Acelyn Cooper; and her special friend, Shirley Kozerski.

 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, six sisters, and her son-in-law, Billy Woods, Jr.

 

A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family with Bro. Gary Bishop officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Sharon Cemetery in Augusta.
