MR. PICKRELL

Donald M. Pickrell, 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Villasprings of Erlanger, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann (nee Manley) Pickrell, who died on September 28, 1980.

 

Donald was born on September 10, 1926 in Bracken County to his parents, the late Marshall M. and Florence L. (nee Lippert) Pickrell. He was a lifelong farmer as well as a lifelong member of the Sharon Presbyterian church where he served as an Elder and member of the Sharon Cemetery Board.

 

Surviving are his beloved children, Edward M. Pickrell (Beverly McDaniel) and Susan Trefilek (Robert), grandchildren, Melissa Davis (Jon) & Bobby Trefilek (Nicole), and his great-grandchildren, Margaret Belle Davis, Logan Mont Davis, Kellen Edward Trefilek, and Aubrey Rose Trefilek. He also leaves behind his very special friend, Pat Gerhard, as well as two nephews and several cousins.

 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marilyn Pickrell; his granddaughter, Amanda Gail Pickrell, and his brother-in-law, Gene Manley.

 

The funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.

 

Interment will follow in the Sharon Cemetery in Bracken County, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon also on Saturday at the funeral home.
