MR. COOPER

Chester A. Cooper, 77, of Dover, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 15 years, Ronnette (née Gates) Cooper.

 

Chester was born on September 17, 1947 in Maysville, Kentucky to his parents, the late Robert and Evelyn Pauline (née Ruark) Cooper. Prior to retirement, he was a machine operator for the Clopay Plastic Corporation. He also previously served for 22 years in the United States Army.

 

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Cooper and Donnie Cooper; and his sister, Judith Klicker.

 

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his sons, Clifton Cooper (Shelley), Zachary Gates, and Jon Berry; his daughters, Tamara Cooper and Amy Randolph (Marcus); his sisters, Pecola Cooper, Kathy Buerkley, and Sue Cooper; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild; his mother-in-law, Janice Gates; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

The funeral for Chester will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
