MR. NIEMEIER

Everett William “Billy” Niemeier, 66, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on November 28, 1959, to his parents, the late Pelsor C. Niemeier and Patricia McCane Jackson.

 

Prior to retirement, he worked as a machine operator for the Clopay Corporation in Augusta. Billy served his community previously as a member of the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department. Partial to basketball and softball, he was also a very skilled pool player. He will be missed by his family and friends, whom he greatly enjoyed being around.

 

He leaves behind his sons, Kyle Niemeier (Julie) and Nathan Niemeier (Carmen); daughters, Danielle Niemeier, Ciara Niemeier, and Heather Niemeier; brother, Howard Wayne Niemeier (Jeannie); and his sister, Lisa Wachter. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Mariah Niemeier, Aviah Niemeier, Conner Niemeier, Ava Niemeier, Miley Hardin, Aubrey Brooks, Kenyan Fugate, Khylin Brooks, and Keely Brooks; his stepfather, Carroll Jackson; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Lisa Saunders.

 

The funeral for Billy will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Jones officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bracken County, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will also be on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

 

Memorials are suggested to the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department, 215 Main Street, Augusta, Kentucky 41002.
