MR. CIGOLOTTI

Albert Ernest Cigolotti, 87, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 28, 2022. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 66 years, Carolyn (nee Ernst) Cigolotti.

 

Al was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an animal lover and skilled carpenter who loved to save old houses. He was not content unless he was fixing or working on something. His hobbies included stained glass, refinishing furniture, and making Civil War soldiers. Al retired from the Cincinnati Fire Department at the rank of Lieutenant after 25 years of service with the department.

 

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 15, 1935 to the late Diano and Clara (nee Molinari) Cigolotti. He was a member of St. Augustine Church.

 

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind two sons, David Cigolotti (Tammy) and Joe Cigolotti (Sheila); two daughters, Cathleen Boyd (Steve) and Lynne Webb (Robert); ten grandchildren, Joshua Cigolotti, Mike Cigolotti, Ashley Cigolotti, Caitlin Rowlette, Dominic Cigolotti, Catherine Cigolotti, Rachel Cigolotti, Timothy Boyd, Andrew Webb, and Angela Barber; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Donna Schulte.

 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Sample; brother-in-law, Glenn Sample; and son-in-law Terry Webb.

 

A funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Augustine Church in Augusta by Rev. Joseph Shelton.

 

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

 

There will be no visitation.
