PHYLLIS K. SEBASTION

Phyllis K. Sebastion, 72, of Augusta, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. She was a homemaker and member of the Augusta Baptist Church.

 

She was born in Bracken County, Kentucky on January 22, 1954, to her parents the late Jack and Margaret (née Gallagher) Kiskaden.

 

Survivors include her son, Derrick Hampton (Kyla Krueger) and daughter, Cindy Cunningham (Stan); seven brothers, John Kiskaden, Jimmy Kiskaden (Daisy), Jesse Kiskaden (Linda), Jerry Kiskaden (Debbie), Jackie Kiskaden (Beth), Jeff Kiskaden, and Jody Kiskaden; and four sisters, Clara Jefferson (David), Susie Frederick, Pauline McGuire (Mel), and Anita Beckett (Kyle). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brianna Smith (Darius), Erica Cunningham (Casey), Justin Cunningham, Kaitelynn Gasson, Christopher Poe, Allysia James (Mike), and Deidra Holtzclaw (Paul); and twelve great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Fred Sebastion and daughter, Christy Steele; her sister, Marita Cooper; her sisters-in-law, Cathy Kiskaden and Kathy Kiskaden; her brother-in-law, Phil Cooper; and her husband, Edward Sebastion.

 

The funeral will be at Noon on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Bishop officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bracken County, Kentucky.

 

Visitation will also be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to Noon.
