MR. CLOS
Jimmy Clos, 79, of Brooksville, Kentucky, passed away at his residence on Friday, November 18, 2022. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Leoma C. Clos.
Jimmy was born in Bracken County on February 3, 1943 to his parents, the late John J. and Molly F. (nee Teegarden) Clos. Prior to retirement, he worked as a body shop technician having been a long-time employee at Harvey Grawe Chevrolet in Brooksville. Jimmy served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was a member of the Augusta VFW Post 9535. He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served as a deacon on the church’s Board.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind two sons, Scott Clos (Rachel) and Joey Clos (Danielle Showalter); his brother, John “Shorty” Clos; five grandchildren, Jalynn Christine Clos, Cameron Chase Hollaway, Connor Matthew Hollaway, Katelyn Summer Hollaway, and Felicity Showalter; his sister-in-law, Norma Cummins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Clos; his sister, Martha Reynolds; his sister-in-law, Shirley Clos; and his brother-in-law, Jim Reynolds.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatham with Pastor Scott Strohkirch officiating.
Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Bladeston, Kentucky.
Visitation will also be on Tuesday at the church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
