MRS. WELTE

Anna I. Welte, 76, of Asbury Road, Augusta died October 29, 2008, at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was born June 1, 1932, in Bracken County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Welte. Mrs. Welte was a retired dietary cook and homemaker.

Mrs. Welte is survived by a son, Tony (Donna) Welte of Augusta and a daughter, April (Creig) Forman of Springfield, OH. She is also survived by a nephew, Ted Smoot, who she raised like a son. Also surviving are one brother, Grover Jones, and two sisters, Alice (Tom) Welte of Augusta, and Ruth Smoot of Aberdeen. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Ashley & Hannah Welte, and Annalise Forman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Grover Jones, and one sister, Lucille Lakes.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 31, 2008, at the Sharon Cemetery on Asbury Rd., Augusta.
